Birdwatching in Mid-Norway

Birdwatching in Mid-Norway
Every birdwatcher should once in a while take a trip to Mid-Norway, a place where spotting birds is easy. The variety of species and biotope types here is great, and the probability of finding a rarity spending the winter here is quite high.
There are also many other exciting activities in Mid-Norway to be combined with your birdwatching. For example, you have the opportunity to visit famous historical places like Trondheim and Røros.

Great Variety in Bird Species
Around Røros, and also in Lierne further north, the conditions for locating forest species and owls are perfect. Trondheimsfjorden and its superb wetlands are good places to visit all year round. In addition, Ørlandet and quite a few other places by the coast will always deliver something extra, regardless of season. Not to be forgotten, the area has several islands that are definitely worth a visit.
